Israeli Strikes Kill 18 Palestinians in Gaza, Including Children, Despite Trump Peace Claims

Date:

GAZA/BEIRUT – Web Desk: Israeli forces continued airstrikes across Gaza on Monday, killing at least 18 Palestinians, including children, despite US President Donald Trump’s claims of progress on a peace plan, according to international media reports.

Strikes hit residential areas in Gaza City, Khan Younis, Deir al-Balah, and Jabalia, destroying multiple homes and wounding several others. Medical centers and medicine warehouses were also affected, compounding the already dire humanitarian situation. Palestinian officials said the death toll over the past three days has reached 28, including women and children.

In southern Lebanon, Israeli military operations also continued, with at least five Lebanese soldiers wounded and transferred to hospitals. Gaza’s Health Ministry condemned the strikes on hospitals, clinics, and health facilities, calling them violations of international law and war crimes.

The attacks came despite Trump’s recent claim of progress on a Gaza peace plan. Regional observers warn that continued strikes could further escalate tensions across the Middle East and undermine ceasefire efforts.
