The tremors were reported from multiple neighbourhoods across the city, with residents sharing accounts of brief but noticeable shaking. Initial reports indicated panic in some areas, although no major incidents were immediately reported.
Authorities monitor situation
Pakistan’s National Seismic Monitoring Centre (NSMC) under the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) is monitoring the seismic activity and is expected to release technical details, including the earthquake’s magnitude, depth and epicentre.
Emergency authorities said there were no immediate reports of casualties or significant property damage following the tremors.
