IRGC Claims Drone Strikes on Key Air Bases in Jordan

Date:

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed responsibility for drone strikes targeting Prince Hassan Air Base and King Faisal Air Base in Jordan, marking another escalation in regional tensions.

According to a statement issued by the Iranian military, the operation also targeted the Al Azraq Air Base in eastern Jordan during the early hours of the day. The statement claimed that residential facilities used by US military personnel and logistics warehouses at the base were among the targets.

The IRGC further claimed that eight MQ-9 Reaper drones were destroyed during the operation and that two US military helicopters sustained heavy damage.

The claims have not been independently verified, and there has been no immediate confirmation or response from Jordanian or US authorities regarding the reported attacks or the extent of any damage.

The reported strikes come amid heightened military tensions across the Middle East, with concerns growing over the potential for a wider regional conflict.
