U.S. Vice President JD Vance has alleged that certain elements within the Israeli government sought to undermine a proposed U.S.-Iran memorandum of understanding (MoU) by funding campaigns in the United States aimed at derailing the agreement.
Washington, United States – Web Desk: Speaking in an interview, Vance rejected reports suggesting the United States was considering deploying ground troops to Iran. He said that despite what he described as foreign influence efforts, the administration would continue to prioritize U.S. national interests.
Vance also said a lasting resolution to tensions with Iran should be achieved through negotiations and diplomacy, rather than military action. He stressed that the United States would not send ground forces to pursue regime change in Iran, adding that any political change in the country should be determined by the Iranian people.
The vice president further said Washington’s priority remains keeping the Strait of Hormuz open and ensuring the uninterrupted flow of global oil and gas supplies amid heightened regional tensions.
