KARACHI – Web Desk: The Pakistan Navy and Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA) are continuing a large-scale search and rescue operation near Ormara following the crash of a cargo aircraft in the Arabian Sea.
Naval ships, Sea King helicopters, Defender aircraft, and naval ATRs have been deployed as part of the operation. Navy divers are also conducting underwater searches at multiple locations. Search teams have expanded the operation by 15 to 20 nautical miles around the possible crash site.
Despite challenging conditions — including rough seas, poor weather, and darkness — personnel have demonstrated exceptional professionalism. Communication links have been established with fishing vessels and other ships in the area to gather any evidence. Authorities have yet to locate the five cockpit crew members.
The crash site is located approximately 3,000 meters deep, making the recovery operation highly complex and requiring advanced technology and specialized expertise. All personnel remain committed to the operation and continue to coordinate closely with relevant agencies.
