Tehran, Iran – (Web Desk) Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif departed Tehran for an official visit to Türkiye after attending the condolence ceremony held in memory of Iran’s late Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
The prime minister led a high-level Pakistani delegation at the memorial gathering, where condolences were conveyed to the Iranian leadership and people on behalf of Pakistan.
The delegation included Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Field Marshal Asim Munir, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, and other senior government officials.
During the ceremony, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Field Marshal Asim Munir, and members of the delegation offered Fateha and paid tribute to the late Iranian leader.
The prime minister praised Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s decades of leadership, describing him as a statesman who guided the Iranian nation with vision, wisdom, and foresight during critical periods of its history.
Pakistan’s participation in the condolence ceremony reflects the longstanding diplomatic and brotherly relations between Pakistan and Iran. Following the event, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif continued his regional diplomatic engagements by departing for Türkiye.
