Karachi, Pakistan – Web Desk: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has declared that Pakistan is fully committed to eliminating external terrorism on its soil “at all costs,” as the country faces increasing security challenges from across its eastern border .
Addressing the Pakistan Navy Passing Out Parade in Karachi, the Prime Minister congratulated the graduating cadets and welcomed the presence of cadets from friendly nations participating in the ceremony.
Pakistan Navy’s Role
Shehbaz Sharif praised the Pakistan Navy’s “outstanding role” in national defense, stating that the navy had excelled in every difficult situation. “The role of Pakistan Navy in the battle for truth is part of history,” he said .
Iran-US Mediation and Regional Peace
Commenting on the recent rapprochement between Iran and the United States, the Prime Minister said the signing of the Islamabad Agreement was a matter of great honor for Pakistan. He credited Pakistan’s sincere diplomatic efforts for this success and paid tribute to Field Marshal Asim Munir for his tireless efforts in establishing peace .
Regional Challenges
The Prime Minister said that major changes taking place in the region would have far-reaching effects. He pointed to Pakistan’s eastern neighbor, which he said was relying on proxies under a “defeated mindset.” He reiterated that Pakistan remains fully committed to working with its armed forces to eliminate externally-sponsored terrorism at its roots .
Iranian President’s Visit
He described Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian’s recent visit to Pakistan as “living proof” of the deep brotherly relations between the two countries and a recognition of Pakistan’s regional importance .
Pakistan’s Principles
Reaffirming Pakistan’s principled stance, he said the country is recognized globally as a standard-bearer of peace. He made it clear that Pakistan will continue its “unwavering support” for the people of Kashmir and Palestine and will never hesitate to raise their cause on international forums
