New York, United States – Web Desk: FIFA President Gianni Infantino has confirmed that US President Donald Trump will attend the FIFA World Cup 2026 final and personally present the trophy to the winning team.
The World Cup final is scheduled to take place on July 19 at MetLife Stadium. Although Trump has not attended any tournament matches so far, FIFA officials say he will be present for the championship match.
Speaking in an interview, Infantino said he looks forward to watching the final alongside Trump before jointly participating in the trophy presentation ceremony. The tournament, co-hosted by United States, Canada and Mexico, has attracted global attention with 104 matches scheduled throughout the competition.
According to White House World Cup Task Force Executive Director Andrew Giuliani, Trump has been unable to attend matches due to official commitments but remains highly interested in major sporting events.
Trump’s expected appearance at football’s biggest event is likely to draw significant international attention and become one of the major talking points of the FIFA World Cup 2026 final.
