Fire at training centre in India’s Lucknow kills at least 15

Date:

Lucknow, India – Web Desk: At least 15 people have been killed after a fire broke out in a multi-storey commercial building in India’s northern city of Lucknow, local media reported.

According to reports, the fire started in the middle section of a three-storey commercial building and rapidly spread to other floors, trapping several people inside.

Officials said the ground floor of the building housed a pet shop and a veterinary clinic, while upper floors contained a coaching centre where students were being trained in software development related to gaming and animation.

Authorities said the exact cause of the fire has not yet been confirmed. However, initial assessments suggest that a short circuit may have triggered the blaze.

Local media reported that the fire was brought under control after several hours of rescue operations. Emergency teams continued search and recovery efforts following the incident.
