Karachi, Pakistan – Web Desk: The Sindh cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, has formally approved the provincial budget for the fiscal year 2026-27 at a special meeting held at the Chief Minister’s House on Tuesday .
The cabinet meeting was attended by provincial ministers, special assistants, advisers, the Chief Secretary, secretaries of various departments, and concerned officials.
During the session, the cabinet praised the Chief Minister’s efforts in executing record development projects during the fiscal year 2025-26 .
Speaking on the occasion, Murad Ali Shah reaffirmed his commitment to continuing the journey of public service under the leadership of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP). He assured that the new budget would prioritize the welfare and well-being of Sindh’s population, with comprehensive measures aimed at improving the lives of all segments of society.
The Chief Minister highlighted that the budget includes special initiatives for poverty alleviation, following the directives of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. “The PPP’s leadership has always prioritized the welfare of the common man,” he stated.
A significant decision regarding the minimum wage for the working class has also been incorporated into the new budget, reflecting the government’s commitment to labor rights and economic justice.
Murad Ali Shah further stated, “We will continue the journey of serving the people under the leadership of the Pakistan Peoples Party. The new budget includes measures for the welfare of the people of Sindh.”
The budget was earlier presented in the Sindh Assembly at 2:00 PM on Wednesday by the Chief Minister .
