TEHRAN – Web Desk: A meeting between US and Iranian delegations in Geneva is possible, where matters could be moved forward, according to Iranian Foreign Ministry sources.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry legal team confirmed to Geo News that progress is possible if Israel does not attempt to sabotage the process. President Trump had earlier stated that an agreement with Iran could be signed by the end of this week at a European location, though he did not name a specific country.
When asked about the details of the US-Iran agreement, the legal team declined to provide specifics but noted that past experiences suggest Israel may try to derail the process. The team added that mistrust exists at an extreme level, so the final outcome remains to be seen.
Some Western media reports suggest the US-Iran agreement is being called the “Islamabad Agreement.” According to Arab media, a Pakistani team — described as experts in legal affairs — will also be present at the signing. Geo News attempted to confirm this with a senior Pakistani Foreign Office official but had not received a response at the time of filing.
