TEHRAN – Web Desk: Iran has claimed that it targeted US military installations in the Gulf region, including the US Fifth Fleet in Bahrain and multiple military bases in Kuwait, in retaliation for American airstrikes, according to Iranian media reports.

Iranian military and IRGC forces targeted communication antennas and Patriot defense system radar centers associated with the Fifth Fleet in Bahrain, Iranian news agencies Mehr and Fars reported. The IRGC also claimed operations against US military bases in Kuwait and Bahrain, stating that 18 key US military-related targets were hit across two operational waves.

The IRGC claimed to have targeted Ali Al Salem and Ahmed Al Jaber air bases in Kuwait, as well as Sheikh Isa Air Base in Bahrain, destroying them. Meanwhile, Bahrain’s Interior Ministry issued an air attack alert, instructing citizens and foreign residents to move to safe locations and remain calm. US officials or the governments of Bahrain and Kuwait have not yet released full confirmation or details of damage. Security alerts have been further tightened amid rising tensions in the region.
