TEHRAN – Web Desk: Iran has once again made clear that its armed forces will not refrain from any necessary action to defend national security and interests, while accusing the United States of harming the diplomatic process, according to Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei.
Baghaei stated that the US is damaging the diplomatic process through contradictory statements, frequent policy shifts, and alleged ceasefire violations. He emphasized that diplomacy does not occur in a vacuum — for it to be effective, conducive conditions must exist. When talks are conducted on one side while ceasefire violations continue on the other, diplomatic efforts are harmed, he added.
The Iranian spokesman also alleged that Israel is repeatedly violating the ceasefire in Lebanon, affecting the negotiation environment. He stressed that Iran does not separate diplomacy from the battlefield, as both are means to protect the country’s national interests and security, and that Iran keeps its foreign policy and defense strategy aligned.
Baghaei claimed that attacks in Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan have demonstrated that Iran’s armed forces do not hesitate in defending the country, warning that wherever necessary, Iranian forces will respond to the enemy with full force and determination. Iran reserves the right to take all possible measures to protect its sovereignty, national security, and regional interests, he said.
