Southern Lebanon – Web Desk: Lebanon’s armed group Hezbollah has announced a series of attacks targeting Israeli military positions in southern Lebanon, according to a statement released on Telegram.
The group said it struck an Israeli bulldozer in the southeastern outskirts of Yahmar al-Shiqif using artillery fire, followed by a guided missile attack on another military bulldozer in the same area.
Hezbollah also claimed responsibility for shelling and rocket fire targeting Israeli soldiers and vehicles near Yahmar al-Shiqif and Aita al-Shaab, escalating cross-border hostilities in the region.
In a separate statement, Hezbollah said it had targeted an Israeli Hermes 450 “Zik” drone over the al-Tuffah area with a surface-to-air missile, forcing the drone to retreat.
Meanwhile, Israeli airstrikes earlier hit southern Lebanon’s Sidon district, killing two people and injuring 10 others, according to local reports.
In the city of Tyre, the death toll from an Israeli strike near a Red Cross center has risen to five, with at least eight others injured, including four medical workers.
The situation marks a continued escalation along the Lebanon–Israel border, where exchanges of fire have intensified in recent months.
