Iranian Missile and Drone Strikes Hit Kuwait and Bahrain After US Attacks; Multiple Injured

Date:

KUWAIT CITY – Web Desk: Tensions in the Gulf region have escalated further amid rising hostilities between Iran and the United States, with multiple injuries reported and flights suspended at Kuwait International Airport following drone and missile strikes, according to officials.

According to the Kuwaiti military, a terminal at the airport was targeted, causing significant financial damage and injuring several individuals. Authorities immediately launched rescue and security operations. Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed that these attacks were part of retaliatory operations and should serve as a lesson for the United States, stating that the operations were carried out in response to US activities in the Gulf region.

Meanwhile, US Central Command (CENTCOM) stated that it conducted “self-defense” strikes on Iran’s Qeshm Island, destroying multiple missiles and drones. US officials said that civilian vessels and allied countries in Kuwait and Bahrain were also at risk during the operations.

President Donald Trump has rejected reports that talks with Iran have stalled, stating that contacts between the two countries continue and negotiations are ongoing in some form. The rising tensions in the region have caused global concern, with experts warning that if the situation is not brought under control, it could take the form of a major regional crisis.
