ISLAMABAD – Web Desk: A Security Training Handbook for modern policing has been introduced by DIG Security Dr. Maqsood Ahmed, with its launch initiated by presenting the book to President Asif Ali Zardari, according to an official statement.
The handbook is a comprehensive, practical, and training document developed by the Special Security Unit. It has been specially prepared for police tactical units, emergency responders, cyber experts, and other relevant security professionals to fill the gap in specialized training according to international standards in the context of modern complex security challenges.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Maqsood Ahmed emphasized the necessity of adopting an active, technical, and proactive strategy-based system for contemporary policing to effectively deal with terrorism, cybercrime, emergencies, VIP security, and sensitive incidents. The handbook covers key areas including tactical radio communication, tactical motor driving, effective weapon use, IED disposal, non-lethal weapons, rings of security concepts, critical installations protection, emergency response, disaster management, protective security duties (PSD), motorcade operations, VIP security protocols, counter-terrorism operations, cyber security, digital extremism, and future security technologies.
