QUETTA – Web Desk: Pakistan Railways has restored train service from Balochistan to other parts of the country after a two-day suspension, officials confirmed Wednesday.

According to railway authorities, the department had suspended train operations from Balochistan on May 18 and 19 due to unavoidable circumstances. The Jaffar Express, which travels from Quetta to Peshawar, remained cancelled for two days, while the service from Peshawar to Quetta was limited to Jacobabad during the same period.

Following the restoration of service, the Jaffar Express will depart from Quetta for Peshawar at its scheduled time of 9:00 AM today. The incoming Jaffar Express from Peshawar is expected to arrive in Quetta by Wednesday afternoon.

Passengers have welcomed the resumption of service, which serves as a vital transportation link between the southwestern province and the rest of the country.
