Trump Slams US Media Over Iran War Coverage, Calls It ‘Treason’

Date:

Washington, United States – Web Desk: US President Donald Trump has sharply criticized American media coverage of the Iran conflict, describing some reports as “practical treason” amid rising tensions involving the United States, Israel, and Iran.

In a statement posted on his social media platform Truth Social
, Trump accused sections of the US media of helping America’s adversaries by publishing reports suggesting Tehran holds a stronger strategic position against Washington.

Trump said such reporting was giving Iran “false hope” and argued that media narratives questioning US military or diplomatic strength were damaging national interests during a sensitive geopolitical crisis.

The US president also launched a broader attack on domestic media outlets, calling critics “cowards” and claiming that only “losers, ingrates and fools” would argue against the United States during an international conflict.

According to media reports, senior officials within the Trump administration have increasingly targeted critical coverage of the Iran war in recent days as tensions in the Middle East continue to dominate global headlines.

Meanwhile, American broadcaster CNN
cited unnamed officials as saying Trump personally urged the US Department of Justice to issue subpoenas to journalists covering the Iran conflict in an effort to identify confidential sources behind leaked information.

Political analysts say the latest remarks highlight growing friction between Trump and major US media organizations at a time when the Iran crisis, regional security, and global energy markets remain under intense international scrutiny.
