Lahore, Pakistan – Web Desk: Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal has said that Pakistan’s performance in “Marka-e-Haq” (Battle of Truth) played a significant role in shaping the country’s international standing, including its perceived role in the recent US-Iran conflict.
Speaking at an event at the Lahore Chamber of Commerce, the minister emphasized that Pakistan must now focus on what he termed “Marka-e-Taraqqi” (battle for development), warning that failure to achieve economic progress could weaken national achievements.
“If we do not win the battle of development, we will not be able to sustain the gains of Marka-e-Haq for long,” he said.
Ahsan Iqbal stressed that resolving public issues and ensuring economic stability requires serious and sustained effort. He added that national progress depends on a strong and resilient economy.
Highlighting Pakistan’s recent military performance, the minister said the armed forces delivered a strong response against a much larger adversary, and the country’s unity played a decisive role in success.
He further claimed that Pakistan’s international recognition, including its perceived relevance in the US-Iran conflict, was influenced by its performance in Marka-e-Haq.
The minister reiterated that patriotism and national unity are essential, but long-term stability can only be achieved through economic strength and development-driven policies.
