Pakistan Navy Urges Readiness Amid Maritime Security Threats

Islamabad, Pakistan – Web Desk: The Pakistan Navy’s Command and Staff Conference has concluded at Naval Headquarters in Islamabad, with Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf presiding over the session.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), senior principal staff officers and field commanders attended the high-level forum, which reviewed operational preparedness and strategic priorities.

During the conference, the Naval Chief emphasized maintaining continuous combat readiness to address both conventional and non-conventional maritime challenges in the evolving regional security environment.

He highlighted emerging threats in the maritime domain, particularly in the context of ongoing tensions in the Middle East, including risks to freedom of navigation, potential disruptions in Sea Lines of Communication (SLOCs), and instability in regional maritime security.

Admiral Ashraf underscored that the acquisition of modern technologies remains a strategic necessity for the Pakistan Navy to effectively respond to future challenges.

He also reiterated the Navy’s role in ensuring peace, stability, and maritime security in the region, noting Pakistan Navy’s presence in the Gulf of Oman as a reassurance to the global maritime community.

The forum paid tribute to sacrifices made during recent operations and conflicts, terming them a reflection of national unity and resilience against external threats.

The conference also conducted a comprehensive review of ongoing operational activities and future development programs, focusing on enhancing naval capabilities in line with evolving security dynamics.

The Command and Staff Conference is considered the Pakistan Navy’s highest decision-making forum, where strategic policies and operational priorities are reviewed and finalized.
