Iran Speaker Warns of Maritime Blockade Pressure Plot

Date:

Tehran, Iran – Web Desk: Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has warned that hostile actors are attempting to exert economic pressure on the country through a strategy involving maritime blockades and media propaganda.

In a message to the Iranian nation, Ghalibaf said the alleged strategy aims to weaken national unity and force Iran into submission. He added that the plan also includes psychological and media operations designed to create internal division.

He further stated that the possibility of military action, including terrorist threats, should not be underestimated, describing it as part of a broader effort to destabilize Iranian society from within.

Ghalibaf emphasized that despite economic pressure, Iranians have consistently shown resilience in defending their independence, dignity, faith, and national values.

He said the Iranian people understand the sensitivity of the current historical moment and are prepared to stand firm against adversaries who, he argued, mistakenly believe they can undermine Iranian civilization.
