Karachi, Pakistan – Web Desk: Traffic authorities in Karachi have announced revised speed limits on Shahrah-e-Faisal in an effort to improve traffic flow and enhance road safety.
According to a notification issued by the Karachi Traffic Police, the speed limit for heavy transport vehicles has been set at 30 kilometres per hour.
For cars and motorcycles, the new speed limit has been fixed at 70 kilometres per hour.
Officials said the revised limits aim to reduce road accidents and ensure safer commuting conditions on one of the city’s busiest arteries.
Authorities have urged motorists to strictly follow the new rules to avoid penalties and help improve overall traffic discipline in the city.
Previously, Shahrah-e-Faisal had lower speed restrictions, with limits of 60 km/h for light vehicles and motorcycles and 30 km/h for heavy traffic. The new revision reflects updated traffic management policies.
