Vienna, Austria – Web Desk: The head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, has said that most of Iran’s enriched uranium is likely still located at the Isfahan nuclear facility.
In a statement, Grossi noted that inspections are also required at Iran’s Natanz and Fordow nuclear sites to verify the status of its nuclear material. He said Iran possesses approximately 440 kilograms of uranium enriched to 60%, with around 200 kilograms potentially stored in tunnels at the Isfahan facility.
Grossi added that the IAEA has discussed with Russia and other countries the possibility of transferring Iran’s enriched uranium abroad, though he described the process as complex and requiring extensive coordination.
The remarks come amid heightened international scrutiny of Iran’s nuclear program, with global powers closely monitoring developments related to uranium enrichment and compliance with nuclear safeguards.
