Islamabad, Pakistan – Web Desk: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has approved a one-month extension of subsidies for motorcyclists, public transport, and goods transport, aiming to provide continued relief to citizens amid economic challenges.
The decision is part of the government’s broader effort to ease the financial burden on lower-income groups and stabilize transportation costs. Officials have been directed to ensure that fares for passenger travel and freight services do not increase during the subsidy period.
The prime minister emphasized that the government has already delivered a multi-billion-rupee relief package for the public during difficult economic conditions and will continue to extend support wherever possible.
He reiterated that providing relief to ordinary citizens remains a top priority, while expressing hope for improved regional stability in the near future.
Authorities have also been instructed to ensure effective monitoring of relief measures to guarantee that benefits reach the intended segments of society.
