According to official details, both sides reviewed Pakistan–US relations and exchanged views on the evolving regional situation, particularly in the context of ongoing efforts to ease tensions between the United States and Iran.
The meeting also addressed security arrangements for the second round of negotiations expected to be held in Islamabad, with Pakistan briefing the US side on comprehensive security measures put in place for the high-profile diplomatic engagement.
US Chargé d’Affaires Natalie Baker appreciated Pakistan’s continued efforts in promoting regional stability and reducing tensions through diplomatic channels.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi expressed confidence that the security framework would ensure smooth conduct of the upcoming talks and reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to facilitating peace and regional cooperation.
