Chemical Factory Fire in Lahore, Cooling Operation Underway

Date:

Lahore, Pakistan – Web Desk: A fire broke out at a chemical factory near the Hanjrawal area of Lahore on Sunday, prompting a large-scale emergency response as firefighting and cooling operations continue at the site.

According to rescue officials, efforts are underway to bring the blaze under control, while a cooling process has also been initiated to prevent further spread. Authorities said the presence of hazardous chemicals inside the facility has intensified the fire.

Due to the severity of the situation, additional fire brigade vehicles were called to the scene, and rescue teams were working in coordination with police and district administration.

Punjab Energy Minister Muhammad Faisal Ayub Khokhar also visited the site and directed emergency departments, including Rescue 1122 and police, to ensure effective and rapid response measures.

Officials confirmed that, so far, no casualties have been reported. However, they cautioned that the situation remains under control but sensitive due to chemical materials stored inside the factory.

Authorities added that the exact cause of the fire will be determined after a detailed investigation report is completed.

Emergency services remain on high alert as cooling operations continue to fully extinguish the fire and secure the surrounding area.
