Rawalpindi, Pakistan – Web Desk: Bushra Bibi, wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, was transferred back to Adiala Jail after undergoing eye surgery at a private hospital in Rawalpindi, jail sources confirmed.
According to Adiala Jail officials, she had complained of impaired vision in her right eye, after which she was moved to a private hospital for medical evaluation and treatment.
Medical examinations conducted on April 16 revealed retinal detachment in the right eye. Doctors recommended immediate surgery following the diagnosis.
The procedure was performed by a panel of eye specialists, including Professor Dr. Nadeem Qureshi. Officials said Bushra Bibi gave her consent for the surgery after medical advice.
Following successful surgery and an overnight stay at the hospital, she was discharged and returned to Adiala Jail. Doctors stated that her condition is now stable, while post-operative check-ups and follow-ups will continue as advised.
Separately, jail authorities confirmed that she was allowed to meet her daughters and sister for over an hour during her hospital stay.
