Islamabad, Pakistan – Web Desk, April 6, 2026: The federal government of Pakistan has decided to implement a digital fuel management system at petrol stations across the country. This step comes as part of proactive measures to manage potential petroleum shortages amid escalating tensions in the Middle East.
According to sources at the Ministry of Information Technology, the system will allocate fuel quotas for private vehicles, ensuring equitable distribution and efficient monitoring of petrol supplies. Officials indicated that the initiative aims to reduce shortages, prevent hoarding, and streamline fuel consumption nationwide.
The government’s move reflects growing concerns over global oil supply stability, as regional conflicts have disrupted conventional petroleum logistics. Citizens are expected to register vehicles to receive their designated fuel quotas once the digital system is operational.
