Iran Offers Reward for Capturing Missing US Fighter Pilot

Date:

Tehran, Iran – Web Desk: Iranian authorities have announced a monetary reward for anyone who captures or assists in the arrest of a missing U.S. fighter jet pilot, following reports that an American aircraft was downed during escalating tensions.

According to international media reports, Iran has claimed it shot down a U.S. F-35 fighter jet, although a U.S. official stated the aircraft involved was an F-15, with its pilot still unaccounted for. Search-and-rescue operations by U.S. forces, including aircraft and drones, are ongoing to locate the missing crew member.

Iranian state media has urged citizens to assist in locating the pilot, offering financial incentives for information leading to his capture. In an official announcement, authorities stated that anyone who captures the pilot alive and hands him over to law enforcement or military agencies would receive a “valuable reward.”

The governor of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad province reportedly announced a reward of 10 billion tomans (approximately $76,000) for the capture of the U.S. pilot.

Earlier reports from Iran suggested that the pilot had ejected safely after the aircraft was brought down in a central region. Iranian security forces, including the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), have since launched search operations, with local residents encouraged to participate.

The situation remains fluid, with no independent confirmation of the pilot’s status, while conflicting claims continue to emerge from both sides amid heightened regional tensions.
