Karachi, Pakistan – Web Desk: Pakistan national cricket team fast bowler Naseem Shah has issued a formal apology following a controversial tweet posted from his social media account.
In a statement on his X account, Shah explained that the tweet in question was made by his management team and did not reflect his personal views. He accepted full responsibility for his account and confirmed that necessary changes have been implemented to prevent similar incidents in the future.
Shah also revealed that his social media advisors have been dismissed, and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has blacklisted them to prevent them from working with any contracted players in the future.
The PCB had imposed a fine of PKR 2 crore on Shah for violating central contract and social media guidelines, following a show-cause notice issued on March 27. Shah previously stated that his account had been hacked and has now been successfully recovered.
