Tehran, Iran – Web Desk: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian asserted on Sunday that daily life across most of Iran remains largely normal despite 15 days of ongoing Israeli and US military strikes that began on February 28. Pezeshkian reiterated Tehran’s commitment to rebuild war‑damaged regions and sustain essential services, describing the nation’s resilience amid escalating Middle East tensions.
Addressing reporters, President Pezeshkian acknowledged that some areas have suffered significant destruction but emphasized that the Iranian government is mobilizing resources to restore infrastructure “better than before.” He assured citizens that basic necessities, including electricity, water, food supplies, and healthcare services, continue uninterrupted across the country.
“Our government remains active in delivering fundamental services despite pressure and challenges,” Pezeshkian said, adding that cooperation from the public has helped authorities manage the situation. “The Iranian nation has faced hardships in the past, and we will overcome these challenges as well.”
In response to the conflict, US President Donald Trump said Washington and several allied nations are preparing to deploy warships to the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz to keep the waterway open and secure. In a statement on social media, Trump expressed hopes that countries including China, France, Japan, South Korea, and the UK would participate in safeguarding the crucial maritime route.
The Strait of Hormuz, which Iran has closed in retaliation to US‑Israel attacks, is a critical global shipping lane responsible for transporting nearly 20% of the world’s crude oil supplies.
