Pakistan Names 4 Debutants in ODI After 18 Years

Date:

Sports Desk | Karachi, Pakistan In a historic moment for Pakistan cricket, four players made their One Day International (ODI) debuts in the opening match of the series against Bangladesh.

According to reports, this is the first time in 18 years that four players have debuted together in a single ODI for Pakistan, a feat last achieved in 2008 against Zimbabwe in Sheikhupura.

The debutants include Saifzada Farhan, the top scorer of the recent T20 World Cup, along with Abdul Samad, Shaamil Hussain, and Moaz Siddiqui.

Before the start of the match, debut caps were presented: Haris Rauf handed the cap to Saifzada Farhan, Salman Ali Agha to Shaamil Hussain, Faheem Ashraf to Abdul Samad, and Mohammad Rizwan to Moaz Siddiqui.

Cricket analysts suggest this injection of fresh talent could strengthen Pakistan’s squad for upcoming international fixtures and provide new momentum in the ongoing Bangladesh series.
