Middle East Conflict Pushes LPG Prices Higher in Pakistan

Date:

KARACHI, Pakistan – Web Desk : The ongoing conflict in the Middle East has driven up LPG prices in Pakistan, following recent increases in petrol rates, market sources reported on March 10, 2026.

According to Ali Haider, a representative of the Marketing Association, retail LPG prices have risen from PKR 250 per kilogram to between PKR 320 and 350 per kilogram.

The association attributed the price surge to a reduction in supply caused by the regional conflict. Officials warned that the trend of rising prices is likely to continue unless alternative arrangements are made.

The Marketing Association has urged the government to explore imports of LPG from Russia or Oman to stabilize supply and ease pressure on local consumers.

Analysts note that energy markets are highly sensitive to geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, and disruptions in supply chains can quickly translate into higher domestic prices for petroleum and LPG products.
