Ankara, Turkey – Web Desk: Turkey says it is closely monitoring the activities of Iranian Kurdish militant group PJAK, warning that potential operations could threaten Iran’s security and regional stability.
The announcement comes amid reports that Iranian Kurdish militias have consulted with the United States and Israel on potential operations against Iranian security forces in western Iran. Some U.S. officials previously claimed that around 1,000 Iraqi Kurdish fighters had crossed into Iran to carry out operations.
Additionally, reports surfaced suggesting that the CIA has provided arms to Kurdish fighters, though Iranian state media has denied any infiltration by Kurdish forces into border provinces.
Turkish authorities emphasized the risks posed by militant activity in the region, particularly given heightened tensions involving Iran, the United States, and Israel. Analysts say continued cross-border movements could destabilize the already volatile region and impact regional security dynamics.
