Iran Claims Strike on CIA Facility in Saudi Arabia

Date:

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – Web Desk: Iran has claimed responsibility for a drone strike targeting what it described as a CIA station located within the U.S. Embassy compound in Saudi Arabia.

According to regional reports, the suspected drone strike hit a facility in Riyadh allegedly linked to the Central Intelligence Agency, causing partial damage to the building’s roof. It remains unclear whether any CIA personnel or staff were killed or injured in the incident. There has been no immediate official confirmation from U.S. authorities.

British media outlets reported that the CIA had previously been involved in identifying the residence of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei as part of military planning. These claims have not been independently verified.

The reported strike comes amid heightened tensions between Tehran and Washington, with allegations that the CIA has been working to support armed opposition groups inside Iran, including Kurdish fighters, in efforts to destabilize the Iranian government.

Separately, a drone attack was also reported near the U.S. Consulate in Dubai, where a fire broke out following the blast. Emergency teams brought the situation under control, and authorities in Dubai said there were no casualties. The explosion was reportedly heard several kilometers away.

The incidents mark a sharp escalation in regional hostilities, raising concerns over diplomatic security and broader instability in the Gulf.
