Chaos Hits Indian AI Summit in New Delhi, International Criticism Follows

Date:

New Delhi, India – Web Desk: The Indian AI Summit in New Delhi faced severe criticism over alleged mismanagement and poor organization, drawing international scrutiny. Reports from Reuters and a UK-based journal highlighted an administrative breakdown during the event, causing difficulties for attendees.

Participants reportedly waited hours to confirm session schedules, faced unusually long queues, and raised complaints about disorder and overcrowding. Some attendees also reported instances of product theft from exhibition stalls.

A British publication noted that the absence of an efficient digital payment system caused additional difficulties for international delegates, with many describing the administrative arrangements as unprofessional.

India’s Minister for Information Technology acknowledged the alleged mismanagement, admitting that there were shortcomings in the organization and promising corrective measures for future events.

Observers said the incident has raised questions about government planning and execution, suggesting that ambitious development claims under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership have yet to fully materialize. Government sources, however, dismissed these criticisms as unfounded.
