Islamabad, Pakistan – Web Desk: Pakistan’s role in regional security and counter-terrorism has received renewed recognition from the United States, with officials describing Islamabad as a key partner in South Asia.
US Assistant Secretary of State Paul Kapoor emphasized that bilateral cooperation is expanding beyond security to include strategic sectors such as mineral resources, energy, and agriculture. Kapoor noted that ongoing trade and economic collaboration reflect strengthening ties between the two nations.
“Partnerships in minerals, energy, and agriculture are progressing steadily, highlighting Pakistan’s growing strategic significance,” Kapoor said.
On security matters, Kapoor underlined that counter-terrorism coordination has enabled Pakistan to address internal and cross-border threats more effectively.
