State Minister Aqil Malik denies health concerns, slams PTI for political exploitation
Islamabad, Pakistan | Web Desk: Pakistan’s Law and Justice State Minister Barrister Aqil Malik revealed that senior PTI leaders were informed about the party founder’s medical checkup but none visited the hospital. Speaking on Express News’ program Center Stage, Malik emphasized that there was no threat to the founder’s life, and routine medical examinations were being politicized by PTI for “political gain.”
Malik stated that the founder of PTI underwent checkups voluntarily and that any claims suggesting a medical emergency were false. He criticized PTI leadership for attempting to use the situation for political leverage and called their actions “highly condemnable.”
Regarding PTI’s upcoming 8 February protest, Malik alleged that the party registered 6,000 fake participants out of 14,000 in Tirah to misuse allocated public funds for political purposes. He highlighted irregularities in NADRA registration and stressed that the provincial government did not authorize funds for political activities.
Malik also refuted claims on floor of the house and in the media about a military operation in Tirah, calling them false and politically motivated. He stressed the importance of federal coordination in security and intelligence operations and encouraged PTI to engage constructively.
This statement comes amid ongoing political tension in Pakistan, raising questions about PTI’s internal conduct, misuse of public funds, and political accountability.
