German project boosts Pakistani textile & towel exports; direct access to 300 importers
Islamabad, Pakistan – Web Desk: Pakistan’s exports to Germany are on the rise as the German government’s Green Pakistan Project strengthens bilateral trade ties. Fifteen towel exporters have completed sustainability reports under Germany’s Due Diligence Law, enabling direct contact with 300 German importers.
Speaking at a workshop organized by the Towel Manufacturers & Exporters Association, Ms. Anna Klass, German Consul for Commercial & Economic Affairs, highlighted the strong demand for Pakistani textile products in Germany. She emphasized that enhanced collaboration between Pakistan and Europe will ensure a sustainable and prosperous future.
Dr. Michael Areds, head of the Green Pakistan Project, added that exporters completing sustainability certifications under 12 categories will benefit from Germany’s new dashboard system, increasing visibility and export opportunities. The initiative, launched in 2025, aims to facilitate sustainable trade and strengthen Pakistan-Germany economic partnerships.
