Ex-opposition leaders step down, recommend Mahmood Khan Achakzai for committee seat
Islamabad, Pakistan – Web Desk: Former opposition leader Omar Ayub and senior PTI leader Shibli Faraz have officially resigned from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Political Committee. Both submitted their resignations to Secretary General Salman Akram Raja, citing legal and political commitments that prevent them from actively participating.
Omar Ayub stated on social media that he has always been and will remain a loyal PTI worker. He suggested that Mahmood Khan Achakzai be included in the committee in his place. Shibli Faraz also excused himself from the committee, recommending that membership remain limited to current officeholders.
This development marks a significant reshuffle within PTI’s political hierarchy and highlights the party’s ongoing internal adjustments ahead of future political engagements.
