Federal Minister Orders Immediate Action; Only Approved Units Will Receive Grid Credits

Islamabad, Pakistan – Web Desk: The Power Division has taken swift action to address concerns of net metering users after certain units were initially denied credits. Federal Minister Sardar Owais Ahmed Khan Laghari intervened following directives from the Pakistan Power Management Company (PPMC), ensuring that units sent to the national grid now receive proper credit.

Officials clarified that only units exceeding approved DG capacity licenses will remain ineligible for credit. All DISCOs have been instructed to implement the revised guidelines, and adjustments for affected consumers will be reflected in the next billing cycle.

The federal minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to protecting the electricity rights of consumers, emphasizing no compromise on lawful entitlements. This move strengthens confidence in Pakistan’s renewable energy and net metering policies.
