Two Air Force Officers Escape via Parachute After Small Trainer Aircraft Plunges in Prayagraj
In a dramatic incident in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, an Indian Air Force (IAF) trainer aircraft crashed into a local pond during a routine training flight. The single-engine plane, carrying a senior pilot and a junior trainee, lost contact with the control tower, prompting a search operation. Eyewitnesses reported seeing the aircraft swirl in the air before plunging into the water. Both pilots safely ejected via parachutes and sustained only minor injuries. Authorities have formed an inquiry committee to investigate the cause of the crash. This marks another small aircraft mishap in India, following a private airline emergency landing earlier this month near Rourkela.
