PSL 11 player categories revealed: Babar, Rizwan retain platinum status

(Web Desk) – As the Pakistan Super League (PSL) gears up for its 11th edition, sources have revealed the latest categorization of Pakistani players.

Several top stars retain their spots, while others see promotions or shifts that could impact team strategies for the upcoming season.

Babar Azam, Muhammad Rizwan, Saim Ayub, and Shadab Khan have retained their Platinum status, ensuring their position among the league’s top earners and key players.

Meanwhile, Mohammad Nawaz and Salman Ali Agha have been promoted from Diamond to Platinum, reflecting their recent form and importance in domestic and international cricket.

Hassan Ali has also moved from Diamond to Platinum, while Abbas Afridi has shifted from Platinum to Diamond. Additionally, Osama Mir and Iftikhar Ahmed have been moved from Platinum to Diamond, balancing team composition and performance metrics.

Gold, silver, and emerging category updates

The Gold category sees new entrants, including Sahibzada Farhan, Azam Khan, and Khushdil Shah, while Khawaja Nafi and Hassan Nawaz move up from Silver and Emerging categories respectively.

These adjustments highlight the PSL’s efforts to reward performance and provide emerging talents with opportunities to shine in high-profile matches.
