RAWALPINDI (Web Desk): Chief of the Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, has warned that India should not fall prey to any self‑deception or false assumptions, stating that Pakistan’s next response would be even faster and more severe.
Addressing officers of the armed forces, Field Marshal Asim Munir said that the establishment of the newly created Defence Forces Headquarters marks a historic structural transformation. In view of evolving and increasing threats, he stressed the need to further enhance multi‑domain operations under a unified tri‑services framework.
He said that the creation of the Defence Forces Headquarters is a crucial step in this direction. While each service will maintain its operational individuality and preparedness, the new headquarters will ensure greater coordination and synchronization among the three forces.
The Army Chief added that along with unity at the higher command level, all three services will continue to retain their internal autonomy and organizational structures.
Speaking about regional security, the Chief of Defence Forces said that a clear message has been conveyed to the Taliban regime: they have only two choices — either stand with the Khawarij terrorists or stand with Pakistan; there is no third option.
Field Marshal Asim Munir reiterated that Pakistan is a peace‑loving nation, but no one will be allowed to undermine its sovereignty, territorial integrity, or test its resolve.
He emphasized that everyone must understand that the very idea of Pakistan is indomitable, protected by the unwavering faith, courage, and unity of its soldiers and its people.
Pakistan will always remain strong – Pakistan Zindabad.
