Cabinet okays Gwadar–Oman ferry service

(Web Desk)-The Federal Cabinet has approved Gwadar-Oman ferry service.

In this regard, Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Junaid Anwar Chaudhry said Pakistan and Oman will soon sign a memorandum of understanding for the ferry link.

The Minister Maritime Affairs said Gwadar-Oman ferry service will start soon and Omani delegation will visit Pakistan to finalize the arrangements. 

Junaid Anwar Chaudhry New ferry route expected to increase trade volume and investment and travel will be easier for Pakistani expatriates. 

Junaid Anwar Chaudhry further said ferry service will promote tourism and cultural links.

Countries in the region will get access to Central Asian markets and new maritime corridors will make Gwadar a new hub of economic activities, Junaid Anwar Chaudhry said.
