Gold hits new high

KARACHI(Web Desk) – The gold prices witnessed a whooping increase on Monday, with the price of 24-karat gold tola surging by Rs7,400 to Rs429,862, up from Rs422,462 the previous day.

The All Pakistan Sarafa-Gems and Jewellers Association said the price of 10-gram 24-karat gold increased by Rs6,337 to Rs368,530, while 10-gram 22-karat gold moved up by Rs5,551 to Rs337,573.

The international gold price increased by $74 to reach $4,075 per ounce.

Silver prices also recorded an upward trend, with the 24-karat tola increasing by Rs 115 to Rs 5,209, and 10-gram silver rising by Rs 98 to Rs 4,465. International silver gained $1.15 to settle at $49.47 per ounce.
