Malir, Karachi — In a shocking incident, a woman from Rais Mari Dad Jokhio village under Thana Bola Khan gave birth at a private clinic during an emergency. Due to her inability to pay the delivery charges, the attending doctor allegedly sold the newborn for Rs. 100,000.
Following the mother Shehnaz’s complaint, SSP Malir Dr. Abdul Khaliq Pirzado took immediate notice and ordered an investigation. SHO Javed Abro of Memon Goth, along with his team, used advanced tracking methods to recover the baby from Lahore.
Police have registered a case against the doctor and the entire group involved. Further investigation is underway.
Local residents have demanded strict punishment for those responsible to prevent such horrifying incidents from recurring.
