LAHORE: (Web Desk) The FIA Anti-Corruption Circle in Lahore has registered a case against nine officers of the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) for allegedly abusing authority and taking bribes in the case involving YouTuber Saadur Rehman, known as Ducky Bhai.
The FIR, filed by Rehman’s wife, Aroob Jatoi, accuses the officers of misconduct, data misuse, and extortion. Preliminary findings allege that Assistant Director Shoaib Riaz accepted Rs 9 million in bribes and transferred over $326,000 from Ducky Bhai’s Binance account to his own.
The case cites Sections 109 and 161 of the Pakistan Penal Code and Section 5(2)47 of the Prevention of Corruption Act. The FIR claims the officers ran a bribery network, sending portions of illegal funds to senior officials in Islamabad.
Six arrested officers, including Sarfraz Chaudhry and Shoaib Riaz, were presented before a local court in Lahore on Tuesday. Defense counsel dismissed the charges as “false and fabricated,” while the FIA continues its investigation.
