Kurram — In a dramatic escalation along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, the Pakistan Army launched a powerful counteroffensive in response to unprovoked firing by Afghan Taliban and militants from the Fitna al-Khawarij group in Kurram district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The retaliatory action resulted in the destruction of Five tank positions and the reported death of a senior militant commander.
