Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwar ul Haq has said that after 13-hour long negotiations with of the Action Committee leader, 90 percent of their demands were accepted but still Action Committee was bent upon protest.
AJK Prime Minister said that on the demand of the Action Committee, the government reduced electricity to Rs 3 and flour to Rs 2,000 per maund, which is a historic package.
PM Azad Kashmir said that the Indian agenda of removing the seats of refugees from the Azad Kashmir Assembly will not be approved and the demand to abolish the seats of refugees cannot be the demand of any Kashmiri.
PM Anwar ul Haq advised Joint Action Committee to contest election and come to the assembly as a political party. He said that these people will be responsible for the violent protests in the name of public rights and the loss of lives as a result. Those who are involved in forced trade and blocking roads will be dealt with strictly.
Moreover, AJK PM said that Kashmiri ministers’ allowances are less than those of all four provinces. Currently, ministers’ allowances in Azad Kashmir range from Rs 150,000 to Rs 210,000.
